June 13, 2015-Mental Resiliency

Mental resiliency or mental toughness is an attribute that allow a person to persevere through difficult circumstances.

 Go to a running track if possible.
 Mental Resiliency workout is:

40 Air squats-Make sure you have good form! Ass to the grass, followed by full hip extension.
400 meter run
rest 90 sec. x4

Here's the kicker-you must get every 400 meter in under a 1:40, if not then you have 2 more sets.

    Squats take about a min - min 5... Tried to keep moving. KEEP WEIGHT IN HEELS!! Easy to rock forward when tired

    At end of squats stretched each quad once, deep breath and took off.

    On run focus on what you can control. Drive your arms. Pick up your knees. Stand straight. Breathe

  3. I did this on the treadmill and it SUCKED. But it was doable. The air squats got to me at about 30 reps for the last 2 sets. Running wasn't all that difficult but it did require some mental perseverance for sure.
